The attack in Syria: Three significant structures at the Barzah Research and Development site were damaged
U.S., British and French air and naval forces launched attacks against the Syrian government’s chemical weapon arsenal in retaliation for the use of such weapons on civilians. According to a Pentagon briefing, the targets are Barzah Research and Development, the Him Shinshar Chemical Weapons Storage Site and the Him Shinshar Bunker Facility. 105 missiles launched by air and sea.
ISI analysts were able to analyze satellite images from Barzah Research and Development site. The analysis shows that three central structures accurately damaged on the site. In total, 76 missiles fired at the site.
Previous reports about the site reveal that the damaged structures were apparently used for two missions – installing chemical weapons on long-range missiles and artillery or manufacture of chemical weapons. Security Council report dated 30 June 2017 reveals that the site has produced chemical weapons of the Sarin type.
At this stage, the extent of the damage to the site’s activity is unknown. According to US officials, the attack has significantly damaged the development and production of chemical weapons by the Assad regime.
